What is a bière blanche? A traditional Flemish specialty made from barley malt and unmalted wheat, spiced with coriander and bitter orange peel. The opalescent Friska, with its beautiful deep straw color and white foam, is an original interpretation by the brewer Nicola Perra, who wanted to personalize it with a more structured and important body.
The result is an expertly balanced beer, fresh, citrusy and spicy on the nose, enriched by sensual hints of exotic fruit, but at the same time full and rich on the palate with appropriate acidulous and citric notes that make it highly thirst-quenching and refreshing.
Excellent as an aperitif, at the table it can enhance a ginger risotto, marry harmoniously with white fish, oil and mayonnaise, it can be intriguing with a seafood salad, elegant with battered vegetables and delicious with fresh cheeses with fine herbs.
