Sassicaia is undoubtedly one of the most famous Italian wines in the world. It comes from a particularly suitable 75 hectare vineyard, in which the parcels have different characteristics, with limestone formations and a high stony content, a peculiarity from which the toponym Sassicaia probably derives. The exposure of the land is to the west and south-west. Fermentation takes place in steel, at a controlled temperature, with maceration on the skins for approximately 10 days. The refinement of Tenuta San Guido's Bolgheri Sassicaia DOC takes place in French oak barriques for 24 months, with subsequent rest in the bottle.
